The Community Legal Service was launched in 2000 to provide a network of legal and help services that meet a recognised standard of quality.

The CLS has developed the quality mark to enable people to develop trust in the legal system. In order to obtain the quality mark an organisation must pass regular quality checks carried out by the Legal Service Commission. When you approach a Quality Marked organisation you can be confident of receiving a service that meets an agreed minimum standard.
